How do I carpool to Uni?
1. Download the ‘breeze’ carpooling app on www.greenroadsmalta.com
2. Create trips, inputting your permit number in the ‘extra info’ field,
3. Confirm matches with 2 or more other students going to university, and chat to agree on how you will travel,
4. We’ll automatically reserve a parking spot for you,
5. Present your KSU-Greenroads Malta carpooling card to security.

What do I need to do to have a reserved parking space?
Make sure to enter your permit number on the Breeze app when registering a carpool, that way the system will recognise your number and will reserve the parking space. You will need a valid KSU parking permit and you have to carpool with two other passengers in possession of a valid KSU parking permit. The driver and passengers will be asked to present their carpooling cards, so make sure to keep them with you at all times.

Can I just pick up someone who isn't a student and have a reserved parking space?
No. You will still be able to use the app and carpool, however you won't have a reserved space.

Can I have a reserved parking space if I drive a 2-seater?
Currently, the BETA version doesn't cater for 2-seaters. You will be able to carpool using the app, however you won't have a reserved parking space. This is something which we will be addressing to hopefully introduce in the final version.

Why are you taking up parking spaces for this initiative?
The reserved parking allocated for carpooling vehicles aims to further encourage alternative modes of transport and hopefully start a modal shift at the University of Malta. Every carpooling vehicle prevents two more cars from entering University, therefore, every space reserved for carpooling vehicles is effectively freeing up two parking spaces.
